Hi all,

I've been trying to setup a mythbox-backend inside a xen domU with an ivtv
pvr500 and pci passthrough.

I finally have this system working more or less (debian sid, ivtv 0.10.1,
debian myth),
but image quality was quite bad (a bit like an encrypted movie, sound was
ok).
I suspected problems with the cable itself, so re-wired it.
Ever since ivtv only outputs back videos, and as soon as i capture anything
i get lots of "ivtv0 warning: encoder VBI: Couldn't find start of buffer
within the first 256 bytes".

Question: could these errors be caused by a faulty input cable ?
if i use ivtv-tune i no longer get the "signal deteced" so i guess i messed
up my cable.

Can anyone confirm that this might just be the cable ?
