I recently updated my machine from Ubuntu 6.10 to 7.04. With 7.04,
Ubuntu is shipping ivtv. Prior to that, I had to build it myself.

Since the upgrade, ivtv does not seem be full working. While the driver
loads without error (see the log below), and I can grab video
from /dev/video0 (which is nothing but static because there is no
input), I cannot seem to get ivtvctl to work properly.

I have a VCR connected to the device, so in order to access the
composite inputs, I need to run:

   $ ivtvctrl -p 1

Unfortunately, this just tells me:

   not an ivtv driver device

ivtv-detect reports:

driver:   ivtv-0.10.1
card: Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150, bus info 0000:02:02.0
        /dev/video32: YUV encoding
           /dev/vbi0: VBI encoding

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Don
