Okay...this is *starting* to look more like a Myth issue.  I've got 3 
cat's running for about 25 minutes against all three /dev/video's 
(0,1,2).  Rock solid.  No errors.

When I do the same thing in Myth...after about 10-15 minutes I get the 
errors, if not immediately sometimes.

I'm beginning  to think it's in the resolution and bit rate settings I 
have for that particular encoder...
