Ik had the same issue and I think it is because XvMC can't be used (see your logs). I followed the step under in "openChrome and 3D" (recompile libdrm etc...); see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenChrome which kind of resolved the issue for me; video runs smooth now with some occasional stutters (especially when there is a lot of sound). gr.
