If you turn on 'Advanced debugging' for the multimedia devices when
configuring the kernel, then you can use ivtvctl to set/get registers
from saa7115.
Let me know what you discover. If a wrong value is set, then I can patch
saa7115.c.

It's supporting in the upcoming 2.6.23 kernel (the patch was merged into
2.6.23-rc1).
