Fedora loads the framebuffer modules for your video card:
PCI:*(1:0:0) nVidia Corporation NV15 [GeForce2 GTS/Pro]
So that and ivtv makes fb1 and fb2. Your new kernel must not have
framebuffer support for the nVidia cards turned on, or the module
isn't getting loaded.
