Hello all, the subject already explains a lot of the problem: I have a pvr-150 and a pvr-500. I use kernel 2.6.22.1 with it's built-in ivtv driver.
I have a videorecorder that I want to copy some tapes from, so I have a scart plug that contains a composite, svhs and 2 audio connectors. Through a switch on the plug I can use the connector for input or output. Currently I have all connectors connected, so both s-vidoe and composit. If I: v4l2-ctl -i 1 mplayer /dev/video0 I get working audio and b/w video. If I switch teh input to 2 (v4l2-ctl -i 2 Display changes to color. If I disconnect the composit connector, the image turns black. v4l2ctl -i 3 and 4 give black images. So it looks like I have working color from my composit and b/w from my s-video connection. I am ssuming that s-video would give better overall quality than composit, that's why I would like to have it working. If I connect the same cables to my tv, the s-video connection gives color output, so I believe that my vcr, and cables work fine. My pvr-500 and pvr-150 behave in exectly the way, so I would think that it is not hardware related. Anyone any idea? Kind regards, Henk. _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
