Hi, I have 2X Avermedia 179 in a Fedora 7 box running mythtv. Whenever I reboot my machine, the sound inputs on my cards do not get set correctly. I stuck: /usr/bin/v4l2-ctl --set-audio-input=1 -d 0 /usr/bin/v4l2-ctl --set-audio-input=1 -d 1 in my /etc/rc.local to try to alleviate the issue, but that doesn't seem to fix it. The odd thing is, if I run /etc/rc.local by hand once everything is started up, it does indeed set the proper sound inputs.
I use the composite input on one card, and the s-video input on the other. I don't know if this helps, but this is in my mythbackend logfile every time a recording starts: 2007-08-20 22:04:39.978 MPEGRec(/dev/video1) Warning: Unable to set recording volume eno: Invalid argument (22) If you are using an AverMedia M179 card this is normal. 2007-08-20 22:04:40.114.
