>From the FAQ page - Mandriva 2007: has support in de kernel you only need
to download de firmware rpms from plf to get a working configuration.

I wish I had paid more attention to this prior to all the messing around
that I've done so far. I'm on a Mandriva 2007 64 bit box with kernel
2.6.17-5 stock or 2.6.17-14 which I've attempted as well. Note that I
never attempted to run IVTV with my stock install. I have likely long ago
scrambled anything that was stock. I've tried compiling 0.7.4 manually
and installing various RPM's several times. Worse yet, I had originally
followed some of the information for older IVTV installs where one has to
remove and or rename some of the kernel modules. I think I've overcome
that mess by reinstalling the kernel, but it's worth mentioning. Is there
a way to ensure that I've deleted my previous attempts before unloading
and trying what's stock in the 2.6.17-14 kernel? Perhaps I need to delete
some directories or module files? Please get me back to scratch if
possible. If it's pertinent my PVR-350 has a tuner type of 47. Perhaps
that's what's biting me.

Thank you,
Scott
