I have had this PVR-500 card for over two years and I still cannot get sound working on the second tuner. I am using it with MythTV. I set it up with KnoppMyth over originally and never had any success with this issue. I decide to upgrade my system using Kubuntu 7.04 with the latest MythTV and ivtv drivers. I noticed in the change log for ivtv 0.4 that the PVR-500 sound issue had been fixed. So I was optimistic. However after setting up everything sound on second to does not work.
When using MythTV and watching a live broadcast I can switch between the tuners by using the "Y" key from the keyboard. The second tuner has no sound. When two shows are recording at the same time, again no sound on second tuner. I issued the v4l2-ctl -d 1 --set-ctrl mute=0 but it did nothing to change the audio. I have checked the firmware and it all seems to be correct. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
