Yes, that is correct.  0.10.1 is the version that comes with Ubuntu Feisty.

Although I suspected I might need to do something else to uninstall the old
driver, I couldn't find anything further on the topic on either the
ivtv-drivers.org how-to or the Ubuntu ivtv howto.

Can you give me a hint at what else needs to be done?
