Hi, I've been experiencing some significant lag in the responsiveness of the remote while using my Myth frontend. This has been happening for quite a long while, but my perception is it is getting worse. Worse to the point where I need to pursue the cause and hopefully fix it.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure where to turn. I've posted this problem on the mythtv mailing list and received helpful information, but it hasn't produced any significant developments. I figured that since the remote is plugged into a PVR-150 it might be worthwhile to try here. Mythtv thread: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/290290?search_string=remote%20lag;#290290 Here are some of the particulars: Description: When pressing keys on the remote, myth sometimes takes a few seconds to respond to the keys. However, sometimes it is relatively quick. Also, sometimes it seems like the remote actions get "queued" up and they stream out in quick succession. Box info: Mandriva Linux 2007.1 gcc v4 ivtv driver: 10.5 Kernel: 2.6.21.5 Myth version: svn trunk Compiled on system Memory: 1.5G LIRC: lirc-0.8.2pre3 Tuner/remote: 2 Hauppauge PVR-150's Attempts: I've added more memory. I've compiled with latest version of lirc. I've upgraded the kernel and ivtv. Nothing seems to make a dent.
