Yeah, that's a bug in the message printing, not in the actual fw
loading. You can ignore that message.
I'm more thinking along the lines of overheating of the card or power
supply problems. If you turn it on after it has been off for some time
(long enough to really cool down), does it work then?
What happens is that the firmware is loaded into the card's memory, and
then the driver searches for a magic number that signifies a special
address. If the memory has become degraded due to overheating (or isn't
getting enough power), then you might get such problems.
