Hi Chris,
There have been several reports about tuner issues before. It's always
with tuner type 2, but I never could find a reason for it. I actually
have a similar PVR250 card with the same tuner and that works fine for
me.
Can you try the following:
1) Upgrade to ivtv-0.10.6, preferably by compiling it yourself.
2) Find the exact frequency of a known good channel.
3) Run v4l2-ctl -f <frequency> (e.g. -f 61.25 for 61.25 MHz). Make sure
you use the v4l2-ctl from ivtv-0.10.6 and not from some older version.
4) Run cat /dev/video0 >test.mpg
5) While it's recording, run v4l2-ctl --log-status.
Post the output of --log-status and whether the captured mpeg is good or
not.
