Hi I have Linux kernel 2.6.22-gentoo-r9 linux-headers-2.6.22-r ivtv-1.0.3.tar.gz MPlayer-1.0rc2.tar.bz2
I have mplayer going through tvout as v4l2 device in mplayer v4l2-ct --set-fbuf=chromakey=1 makes a black square on top of the video on the tv screen. I would like to use the frame buffer to put text on the screen. " ls -R > /dev/fb0" just fills the square with garbage not text. How do I put text on the frame buffer? I don't have ivtvfbctl.
