To be honest, I'm not sure where I found that.  There's no "how to"
guide for Fedora 8, so I was piecing together what I could find on the
net, some of which was of indeterminate age and validity.  It didn't
occur to me until recently to look at ivtv's own "how to", but that's
sleep deprivation for you.
