Try to install V4L package and then install manually the last firmware for PVR350 under ivtvdriver.org

I am using a Hauppage 350 card. Per the instructions on Wilsonet I did the following: # yum -y install ivtv-firmware # yum -y install ivtv-kmdl-$KVER Both installed without error. I then did: # /sbin/depmod -a # /sbin/modprobe ivtv Neither of which complained. However when I look at /var/log/messages I see: Feb 13 20:28:33 localhost kernel: ivtv0: Unable to open firmware v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw (must be 376836 bytes) Feb 13 20:28:33 localhost kernel: ivtv0: Did you put the firmware in the hotplug firmware directory? Feb 13 20:28:33 localhost kernel: ivtv0: Retry loading firmware Feb 13 20:28:33 localhost kernel: ivtv0: Unable to open firmware v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw (must be 376836 bytes) Feb 13 20:28:33 localhost kernel: ivtv0: Did you put the firmware in the hotplug firmware directory? Feb 13 20:28:33 localhost kernel: ivtv0: Error initializing firmware Feb 13 20:28:33 localhost kernel: ivtv0: Error -19 on initialization Feb 13 20:28:33 localhost kernel: ivtv: End initialization Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- Brett M.
