The hardware supports it (theoretically at least), but it's never 
implemented. Actually, I have a patch (somewhere) for the saa7115 that 
partially implemented it, but it never worked well. I've removed the 
false suggestion that cropping is supported from the v4l-dvb bleeding 
edge driver.

Someone sufficiently motivated should be able to get it working, though.
