Hey thanks for the reply. I was mainly going by what it says here: http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-1250 about which driver to use for the hvr 1250. (The wiki is timing out for me right now, darn). I think it's supposed to use either CX23885 or CX23887. I got the idea that this was inside the cx18 driver.
