Andy,

Thanks for your note. The command line was the culprit. I did not
specify the type of ATSC service va the -A parameter. I tested OTA and
QAM this morning and I will be sticking with QAM. FWIW I also
performed a channel scan in SageTV and have tested a recording this
morning. The tuner is now added to my list of available tuners and I
will be able to report on issues out of general use.

Separately, as I am new to this list is there a protocol for reporting
issues such as the mxl500x not being "autoselected" in the config when
the cx23418 adapter is selected to compile?
