No difference. The framebuffer on the pvr-350 is like any other
framebuffer and can be used by the standard framebuffer driver in xorg.
However the standard framebuffer driver is too slow for video playback.

Xdriver is a framebuffer driver for the pvr-350 and provides XVideo
extensions (xv) which is faster than the standard driver. Fast enough to
be usable for video playback.

how you configure it.
