So my question comes from this post http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/users/34529#34529 So is MythTV hardcoded to access the frambuffer instead of using the XDriver for OSD? What I am trying to configure is using the 350's mpeg decoder for systems that don't have a very good processor. Am I understanding correctly that with the xorg.conf properly configured I could configure Myth without the "use pvr-350 for playback" and it would then use the xdriver (and xv) for everything (the disadvantage being that there would be no hardware mpeg decoding)? And further that even using the xdriver there is no opengl support so the future of mythtv running on tvout is uncertain? >Xdriver is a framebuffer driver for the pvr-350 and provides XVideo extensions (xv) which is faster than the >standard driver. Thanks Sander. The second link is exactly what I am looking for. The wiki is a little out of date (it still references ivtvdev instead of ivtv). I can try updating it... Thanks for taking the time to get me up to speed on this! jake _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
