Thanks for the data point.  I do remember the horror stories related
to ivtv and via chipsets.  It is weird that this MB had been stable
for years, until I decided to fiddle with things.

I could try to go back to my old setup, but the reason I upgraded
was to get bluetooth working.  Catch 22.
