Hi all,
It's long overdue, but I finally released the ivtv-1.1.0 (for kernel
2.6.24) and ivtv-1.2.0 (for kernel 2.6.25) packages.
These releases no longer contain the ivtvfb driver as that became part
of kernel 2.6.24. Only the saa717x i2c driver for some Japanese cards
is still in these packages. Since this driver is merged into the 2.6.26
kernel, the next release for kernel 2.6.26 and up will probably be
renamed to ivtv-utils and the kernel dependency will be gone completely
as only test tools, utilities and some documentation remain.
I intend to drastically reduce the number of utilities in the future.
The utilities v4l2-ctl, v4l2-dbg, ivtv-ctl, ivtv-radio and ivtv-tune
will definitely remain, but I want to remove the other utilities. Let
me know if you still use some of those utilities.
