I can not for the life of me figure out how to bypass the hardware encoder on my card so I can dump in a lossless form. I'll i do is the following and I capture video from my tv: sudo cat /dev/video0 > /home/vidcap/myvideo.mpg
but i have noticed that some people get much better results than me.
