Hi all,
I've just released the ivtv-utils 1.3.0 package for kernels 2.6.26 and
up. It is basically ivtv-1.2.0 without the saa717x driver since that
was merged in kernel 2.6.26. So as only tools and documentation remain
it was renamed to ivtv-utils.
Also note that ivtvctl was renamed to ivtv-ctl to conform to the naming
of other V4L tools.
It is really quite amazing, I've been working on ivtv for over 5 years
now! Originally as contributor and since mid-2006 as maintainer. And
with kernel 2.6.26 the last bit of driver code was finally merged! So
this release is the first ivtv release without any driver code. Almost
an anti-climax...
I definitely spend more time these days on the video4linux core code
than I do on ivtv, which is a very good sign.
So a big 'Thank you!' to all who have helped me in the past. I think we
did a pretty good job.
