IIRC, the IR blaster needs some hacking with the Windows driver in the 
same manner as the PVR-150. I have tried to do some work on this, but 
I'm not sure how to enable debugging on the Windows driver. Basically we 
need to find a way to debug the i2c from Windows to the IR controller. I 
wonder if it would be possible to tie in a hardware device, like an 
arduino or a stamp, and sniff it. Here's some info on the way it was
