Hi all, Thanks to the work from Ian Armstrong I've released two new versions of xf86-video-ivtv (or the X driver, as it is commonly known).
The stable version 1.0.2 is available here: http://dl.ivtvdriver.org/xf86-video-ivtv/archive/1.0.x/xf86-video-ivtv-1.0.2.tar.gz Changes are: - Fixed bug where incorrect pitch would be returned by QueryImageAttributes (Fixes skewed video with some files played using mplayer) - Fixed bug which caused X server to fail with 'FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO: Invalid argument' when using default screen mode. - Added support of negative y source coordinates for Xv overlay (Removes garbage at bottom of video when using zoom function in xine with some files) - Sets V4L2_FBUF_FLAG_OVERLAY on start to ensure Xv overlay is aligned correctly. An unstable version 1.1.0 is available here: http://dl.ivtvdriver.org/xf86-video-ivtv/archive/1.1.x/xf86-video-ivtv-1.1.0.tar.gz Changes are: - No longer uses proprietary ivtv ioctls with ivtv > 1.4.0 - Added Xv attribute 'XV_VIDEODEVNUM'. This is read-only & contains the number of the video device being using for output. (i.e. 48 = video48) - Removed server config option 'ivtv' since it was never used. - Now reports unused X server config options to the server log file. - Tweaked some error messages to show where failure occurred. - Removed some unused variables & merged some structures to make code easier to work with. Note that version 1.1.0 hasn't seen much testing yet, so use with care. The internals of this version have changed considerably, even though on the surface nothing much seems to have changed. Also note that the first change in particular won't do anything unless you have an ivtv > 1.4.0. And that's only available in the bleeding edge ivtv driver in the v4l-dvb repository. It will also end up in kernel 2.6.30. But it should also work on older ivtv versions. Please report any problems you find to the ivtv-devel list. And a final note: Thank you, Ian!
