I am sorry for the misunderstanding then! We are trying to record from a direct external audio line (line 1 of the PVR 150). The audio is actually generated by a different PC-based platform, we have no access to, which generates composite video and cinch audio. The audio input is fine on a test TV. We need the encoded a/v MPEG2.
On initial tests everything worked fine, we even captured for a week in a row and it was ok. But when we installed this for real use, it seemed to stop capturing audio after a day or so. We then switched to another PVR 150 card in the same PC, which initially also worked fine. A day later it was also mute. We tried the "recommended firmware" from the WIKI (2.0.43), and the one from the ivtv downloads (must be a beta from 2008-07-01), but it did nto change anything we could see... We also cold-booted the PC, which had no effect. Right now, we are pretty lost here, as we don't understand, what is going on.
