It looks like problems in the kernel with support for the H77 chipset.
There's recent mention of it on the Linux acpi bugzilla list.  Updating
bios didn't help, nor have I found kernel flags that seem to fix this.
I'll continue to dig but it looks like I will probably need to find a
different motherboard if I want this working properly in a timely fashion.
