hello, i run kernel 2.6.9 on debian, and i compiled ivtv 0.2.0-rc3c modules and utils. after installing them, i loaded the required modules in the order documented in the faq on wiki. at loading saa7115, my monitor (or graphic controller) switched into a mode far to large for my monitor. no matter if in bios, virtual console or X, the image displayed on my monitor is cutted on the right side and seemd rotated counterclockwise for some degrees.
i'm not able to adjust the settings on my monitor the way that the displayed screen fits into the monitor. this is why i'm not sure whether it's my monitor or the graphics card. maybe one of them is broken? i've an AMD Athlon64 CPU, a Matrox MGA G400 DH graphic card, a Scott 17" monitor, a Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350 TV controller and as mentioned i'm running debian/unstable on selfcompiled linux kernel 2.6.9 (x64_86 arch). can you give me any advices? i've already tried mgapdesk, a tool by matrox to set parameters for the graphic controller, but i failed at running XFree86 4.3.0 on my amd64 system with a native matrox "mga" X driver. i'm posting to this list as the problem was produced by a part of ivtv modules (the saa7115 module) and maybe you have suggestions how to solve this problem. bye jonas ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
