I am quite new to the mailing list archives as well as
anything Linux. I have been reading instructions on how to
configure the PVR 350 with mythtv but I haven’t been successful in my
attempts. I used the knoppmyth method to install mythtv then followed http://knoppmythwiki.homelinux.org/index.php?page=HauppaugeThreeFiftyInstallation
I also read this link you provided in a recent posting http://www-isl.mach.uni-karlsruhe.de/~hi93/myth/mythtv_debian_epia_pvr350_walkthrough
but have not attempted it since it states “not for
beginners.” Is there a walk through out there for beginner?
Should I bag the knoppMyth attempt and try one of these walk throughs from the
beginning? I’m using the
ivtv driver version 0.1.9 that comes with knoppMyth. I’m trying to
run tv out through the 350. When I boot, linux starts and proceeds to a
point then vga goes black. I ran dmesg and the last line states: ivtv: ivtv-api.c:
unknown ioctl 0x803c7601. I don’t know
what this means. Where do I go from here? Any help would be
