Thanks for the reply...

1. From Jarod's guide, it's the saa7127 module, not the saa7115, and yes
"/sbin/modprobe saa7127 test_image=1" does yield a test pattern.
Saa7127 is the encoder, so I'm not sure why telling it to display a test
image even works, but it does. Everything else from Jarod's guide
works, displaying X out the 350, my remote control, mythtv setup,
getting channel lineups, it just won't display video out the 350.

2. You're right, ? Is only matching one character, as soon as I get home
I'll see if /dev/video16 is there, I assume it is, since I am able to
try and send video to it, seems I'd get an input/ouput error or some
such if video16 didn't exist.

Two things -- following Jarod's guide, when you load the saa7115 module
manually with the test_image parameter does it produce one?

Secondly, you won't see video16 with "ll /dev/video?" (I'm going to take
a flying leap and assume that ll is aliased to ls -l in Fedora) because
the ? only matches one character -- hence, 0-9 but not 10+.
Do "ls -l /dev/video*".
