Every time I have gotten this message it has been the tveeprom module which
has not loaded correctly. Check that tveeprom is loaded before eeprom and
that the correct tveeprom module is loaded. Currently there are two versions
one tveeprom and tveeprom-ivtv, you should use the latter. Put an "alias
tveeprom tveeprom-ivtv" in your modprobe.conf (if using FC3). I have had
success with loading the tveeprom into the initrd using "mkinitrd -f
--with=tveeprom-ivtv initrd-`uname-r`.img `uname -r` to force it to load
prior to the eeprom module.

Subject: [Ivtv-users] kernel: ivtv: i2c client addr: 0x40 not found!

I have searched via google and the documentation at hand what the message in
the subject is referring to... without any success. Obviously, I am missing
something, but I am not sure what.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
