I'll have to go home to check, but while doing "make xconfig" I think it is
under:
device drivers --> multimedia devices --> video for linux --> video for
linux --> bt848
Read the note in there, and it will tell you that the new module will be
called bttv and to make sure to build support for i2c interfaces and i2c
bitbanging. But I think that (at least that seems true for gentoo's
developer kernel sources) on the 2.6.10 kernel, the i2c support cannot be
built as a module, but only as part of the kernel.
Again, rebuild your ivtv stuff after you reboot with the new kernel, and
automaticall, the tuner stuff will be compiled too.

I'm having issues finding it in the kernel source to add the support for
it....
i don't see anythign called bttv
