Hello,

i have my mythbox set up to display over the PVR350s TV-out to my
normal PAL tv.. everything works perfect expect for a little flicker
that i would like to see removed

i don't know much about X modelines/scanlines but i have this line in
my xorg.conf :

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "PAL Monitor"
HorizSync 30-68
VertRefresh 50-120
Mode "720x576"
# D: 34.563 MHz, H: 37.244 kHz, V: 73.897 Hz
DotClock 34.564
HTimings 720 760 832 944
VTimings 576 577 580 602
Flags "-HSync" "-VSync"
EndMode
EndSection

i assume a normal PAL Tv runs at 50hz, i just don't know what the 50hz
means, is it the same as the DotClock line in the above monitor
definition and if so can i just up the 34.564 to 50 to reduce the
flickering ?
Anyone has another suggestion?

Also the image on my tv screen is a bit smoother (espacially when
there are letters/subtitles displayed) than normal tv. this doesnt
really bother me but if there is any way to get rid of that i will try
it..

thanks a lot in advance!

greets,
PJ
