To test, you really should use ptune instead of Myth. This will help
eliminate where the problem is occuring.

ptune.pl is a command line app written in perl that changes the channel.
It's in the utils/ directory in the driver tarball.

If you like a gui you can use ptune-ui.pl instead. (There's a few perl
requirements, make sure you've got them)

You can then "cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg" and play the file, or even
"mplayer /dev/video0" to see what's going on.

I suspect that it's actually a problem with your frequency setup in
Myth, ptune should tell you.
