Hi, I am able to watch live tv for a few minutes and then the PC dies. The only way to get the control back is to power-cycle the PC. Same thing happens when I start playing with the remote: fastforward, channel up/down. I can do these things on the remote a couple of times, but then the PC hangs.
I searched the MythTV mailing list for similar symptoms and I only found somewhat similar references, but with previous versions of ivtv and MythTV and the solution was to upgrade, so I am not sure where to go from here. I installed MythTV 0.17, ivtv 0.2.0 (rc3i), lirc 0.7.0 on an EPIA M10000 running Fedora Core 2 (2.6.10-1.770_FC2) with a PVR-350. Both backend and frontend are on the same PC. I followed Jarod Wilsonīs instructions to set things up, although apt-get got some newer versions of the components from those listed in Jarodīs site. Any thoughts? I am including the ivtv entries from my log as well as the output of lspci. Thanks!! # /sbin/lspci -v 00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.
