Hi, I've got a Hauppauge PVR150 and an old Hauppauge PCI with the bt848
chip. I hope this is the correct list to be posting this question on. My
problem has to do with the coexistence of the ivtv driver and the bttv
driver.
Some sysinfo:
-Fedora Core 3
-Kernel 2.6.11-1.14_FC3 from atrpm
-ivtv-0.3.5r
-bttv-0.9.15 (from the kernel)
After having installed the ivtv-driver I get the following error message
when loading the bttv driver:
May 25 01:46:37 localhost kernel: bttv: disagrees about version of symbol
tveeprom_read
May 25 01:46:37 localhost kernel: bttv: Unknown symbol tveeprom_read
I installed the ivtv-driver according to the instructions, which said to
remove some of the video-drivers from the original kernel-tree (including
the tveeprom.ko-file). Now if I replace the tveeprom.ko file provided by
the ivtv-driver with the one from the original kernel tree, the
bttv-driver will load flawlessly. However this means that I can not get
the ivtv-driver to load.
I'll be happy to provide more error information, but the one I included
above is the only thing I get.
Regards Bjørn
