I'm not a FC or RH user either, but under my distribution (gentoo), the
modules are placed in /lib/modules/$my_version/extra, so it's easy to
tell if I have kernel-provided modules because *they* are under
/lib/modules/$my_version/drivers/media/video.  Not sure if that's just
how it was packaged for Gentoo, but either way:  Ijaaz, can you try
searching in the rest of your /lib/modules/2.6.12-1.1390_FC4 directory
for duplicates?

find /lib/modules/2.6.12-1.1390_FC4 -name "*tuner*"
