I think this must be the problem. How do I get rid of the "custom" when I
bulld the ivtv modules?
Try building ivtv with
make EXTRAVERSION=-6mdk
This will work as long as you don't recompile the kernel itself (there
is really no need) and just use the binary kernel package.
