Hi Johan. I had the same problem you had. I couldn't
find an answer online, but after a few hours, I did
eventually figure it out. If you'll note, you have
the error "cx25840: firmware read failed". cx25840 is
the audio chip for the PVR-150, and if you check
/var/log/messages, or equivalent on your system, you
may see a more detailed error of the form: "cx25840:
Unable to open FW file '/lib/modules/HcwMakoA.ROM'."
This file can be obtained from the cdrom or downloaded
from the net, and placing it in that location fixes
the problem immediately upon a reboot.

To save myself the trouble of unearthing my CD, I used
"alien -t" to convert this rpm containing the
necessary file into a tgz:
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/2081306/com/ivtv-firmware-audio-0.0.1-1.at.i386.rpm.html

I hope that helps. It worked for me. I did not have
this problem with 0.2.*, so I can only assume
something has changed with the 0.3.* series which
brought this problem to the surface. But as the 0.3.*
series seems to work much better for me, fixing the
problem was worth it. (Remember to reboot, those
drivers seem too finicky to rmmod.)
