Hi, all! I'm in the process of setting up a system with a PVR-500mce and having some issues with the second tuner not working at all.
The first tuner seems to work perfectly. All I've done so far is `cat /dev/video0 > foo.mpg` and I get a nice little video file that I can play back in VLC. `cat /dev/video1 > foo.mpg`, OTOH, produces a 0-byte file. Checking my logs, I'm getting the messages ivtv warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x401c6466! ivtv warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40046406! ivtv warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40046406! when I first start trying to record from it. dmesg also shows several warnings of this form when ivtv first loads, for about half a dozen different commands. dmesg also shows that two PVR-150s are detected and properly identified as the first and second tuner on a PVR-500, so ivtv is definitely seeing both tuners, even if only one will accept commands from it. This system is running Debian with a 2.6.8 Linux kernel, built from the source packaged in the Debian stable distribution and the ivtv-0.3.7k driver. I've already checked google and the list archives and didn't come up with anything that looked relevant. Where do I need to go from here? (Or am I lucky enough for someone to already know offhand how to fix this?) ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Ivtv-users mailing list Ivtv-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/ivtv-users
