Hi all, I've been searching google, the IVTV Wiki, and the ivtv users & devel mailing list archives trying to find a solution to my problem, but so far I haven't had any luck. I'm hoping some kind soul on this list may have an idea :-)
My box has a PVR 350 running Slackware 10.1 (kernel 2.4.29). I've compiled ivtv v0.2.0-rc3k without any problems. I've populated my /etc/modules.conf with what seems to be a fairly standard set of information (see below), and when I execute `modprobe ivtv` everything seems to work fine, except for one nagging message showing up in dmesg: tuner: tuner type not set When I do the test capture (cat /dev/video0 > ~/test.mpg) I get nothing but static, even while simultaneously changing channels in ptune-ui.pl. I have all of the frequency table, standards, etc. settings set correctly (I've seen this same card work properly before under KnoppMyth), but still I only see static. This leads me to believe the problem is related to the tuner message from dmesg above. Below is the contents of my /etc/modules.conf and the IVTV section of my dmesg output. Any help is very much appreciated :-) Thanks in advance, Russ /etc/modules.conf ================= alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 ivtv options ivtv
