As already discussed previously on this list, we agreed that releasing a
first alpha version could help us to check if we are ready to make a release
in the Apache Incubator, and would show progress to the community, and thus
may help us get more people involved. Thus the objective of this first alpha
release is not to get production quality, nor even to freeze API, but simply
to get something out.

According to what has been discussed, I think we are ready to make a first
release attempt.

If this vote passes, then I will prepare the release, and ask an Apache
member to sign it.
Then I will cast a new vote here to see if we (the Ivy development
community) are ok to submit the release to Incubator PMC.
If this second vote passes, I will cast a vote on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list,
and if it passes, we will have our first apache incubating release.

So let's start this vote, here is my +1.
