I haven't used the install task, so I'm not sure. Personally, I use CruiseControl, build the jar file with one ant target and then use an AntPublisher to call ivy:publish with the proper resolver. It never gets installed in the "local" repository as part of a CI build. Maybe you can do the same thing with Hudson.
