A JIRA item was just created and resolved. IVY-596: HOWTO - Resolve dependencies on demand
Xavier, sorry for the false alert. I initially tried to create the JIRA thru http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IVY. But somehow I couldn't find the login or signup page which then would allow to create JIRA. This time, however, I found the login link in that page and successfully signup, and then ... the issue was entered and resolved.
