Apreciados compañeros,
Os hago llegar la convocatoria del próximo congreso de OCLC para la
región de Europa, Medio Oriente y África que se celebrará en Frankfurt
los días 2 y 3 de marzo.
In 2010, OCLC launched its first Regional Council Meeting in Leiden, the
Netherlands. We enjoyed hosting our first membership event and we hope
that you enjoyed participating.
In 2011, we want to build on the success of our first EMEA event. The
program is based on the theme: */Breaking down barriers to knowledge/*.
And we have assembled a group of inspiring speakers from both within and
outside the profession to talk on subjects that we hope will once again
stimulate.
The event will take place on 2^nd and 3^rd March 2011, at the Deutsche
Nationalbibliothek, Frankfurt
Our keynote speakers are:
* Dieter Fellner, Professor of Computer Science at the Technical
University of Darmstadt and the Director of the Fraunhofer
Institute for Computer Graphics talking on *Internet of the
Future---3D Internet---3D Documents: another set of buzzwords or
grand challenges in information infrastructures***
* *Lester Madden, Founder and CEO of Augmented Planet talking on
**Augmented Reality---bringing content to life*
We have put especial effort into ensuring that our members are given a
platform also to talk about what is happening within their institutions
in a series of parallel "Innovation Masterclasses" which will preface
the Meeting.
If you have already registered for this event, please disregard this
email. Otherwise, we hope you will join us for what promises to be a
wonderful networking opportunity. To register and find further information:
