Michael Glavassevich resolved XERCESJ-978:
------------------------------------------

    Resolution: Incomplete

There has been no activity on this issue since Sandy's reply to the reporter in
July 2004 so I'm resolving it as incomplete. As Sandy noted the hash/equals
behaviour is a characteristic of the default grammar pool implementation
XMLGrammarPoolImpl. We suggest you create your own grammar pool implementation
to get the desired behaviour.

> Currently XSDDescription uses the namespace of an XML Schema for it's
> hash/equals functions.
> XMLGrammarCachingConfiguration uses the XSDDescription hash/equals to
> differentiate between different XML Schema's.
> This means that currently XMLGrammarCachingConfiguration is only usable for
> XML Schema's with a namespace.
> Quite a few people somehow insist on not using an namespace for schema's
> (like out client), it'd be nice to have a fallback for non namespace bound
> schema's (like schema location/filename/etc. ? )
> I'd like to hear if this is a good idea or not, and request it as a feature :)
> Many thanks,
> Jeroen
