For Xerces 2.5.0 and 2.6.0, he designed and implemented large portions of the XInclude implementation, implemented XML 1.0 2nd Edition errata, improved the PSVIWriter so that it writes out all PSVI information and fixed several bugs along the way. Most recently Peter was involved in the development of the 2.8.0 release [1] where he made improvements to the JAXP 1.3 validation support and implemented several new validation related features. To make it easier for Peter to continue contributing to the project, I'd like to nominate him for committer status. Here's my +1.
